Page views and download clicks

The site uses Google Analytics to learn which pages people read and which apps they go on to download. When a page opens, Google Analytics is told its address and title. When you choose an App Store or download button, it is told which app, the page you were on, and where on that page the button was.

Like any request your browser makes, these also carry your browser and device type and your IP address, from which Google Analytics works out a rough location. It sets its own cookies so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one.

Blocking Google Analytics, with a content blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab), does not stop anything on the site from working. Google describes its own use of this data in how Google uses information from sites that use its services (opens in a new tab).

The free tools

The tools work on your device. Files you choose and text you type or paste are handled inside your browser and are never uploaded, to this site or to anyone else. The tool pages are counted like every other page, as described above, and Google Analytics is never given your files or what you type. The photo metadata viewer opens a map on OpenStreetMap only if you choose to.

The contact form

Messages sent with the contact form are delivered by Web3Forms, a form service that forwards them by email. It receives your name, your email address, your message and, if you came from an app, that app’s name. They are used only to reply to you.

The coffee page shows Ko-fi’s tip panel, which loads from Ko-fi. Anything you enter there goes to Ko-fi, not to this site.

This page is about the website. An app with a privacy policy of its own links to it from the foot of its page.
