When converting helps, and when it does not
A photo saved as PNG is often several times the size it would be as a JPG, because PNG keeps every pixel exactly. Converting it usually shrinks it a lot with no visible change.
Screenshots, diagrams and text are different: JPEG smudges sharp edges, and the JPG can even come out bigger than the PNG. For those, keeping the PNG is often the better choice. The page shows each file's size before and after, so you can see which case you have.
Transparent areas turn white
JPEG has no transparency, so a PNG with a transparent background, such as a logo, gets a white one in the JPG.

Are my images uploaded?
No. The page converts them inside your browser. Nothing about the images, not even their names, is sent anywhere.
Which quality should I choose?
90 is a good default for photos. Around 80 usually makes files noticeably smaller with little visible difference. Much lower, and blocky patches start to show in smooth areas such as skies.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes. Choose or drop as many as you like and each gets its own download link. Download all saves every one; your browser may ask once whether the page can download several files. Very large batches are limited by your device's memory.
